RunAtServer est très enthousiaste d’avoir 2 membres de son équipe pour participer au grand concours Speaker Idol organisé par la Communauté .NET Montréalle 25 Octobre.

Voici nos participants et leur sujet:

• Vincent Costel - HTML5 et la vidéo dans Internet Explorer 9

“Début septembre, Microsoft a dévoilé la version Beta d'Internet Explorer 9. Cette nouvelle version s'annonce très prometteuse et permettra de combler le retard qu'IE a pris face à ses principaux concurrents.
La balise vidéo est une des nouveautés supportées par la nouvelle version d'Internet Explorer. Grace à cette balise qui fait parti du futur standard HTML5, la diffusion video se fait en natif dans tous les navigateurs modernes, sans avoir à recourir à un plugin Flash ou Silverlight. Dans cette présentation nous verrons comment créer un lecteur vidéo simple en HTML5 dans IE9.
Ensuite nous verrons comment conserver la compatibilité avec les versions précédentes d'Internet Explorer, en ajoutant facilement une alternative Flash ou Silverlight quand la balise video n'est pas supportée.”

• Justin Buzzell - Silverlight 4 “Search Highlight” behaviour

“I will be presenting a Silverlight 4 behaviour I have recently built which enables custom dynamic text highlighting on any body of Text. For example, search list results, word searching, spell checking, or any situation where text highlighting is needed to improve usability and visibility of the content in question in a Silverlight Application. The presentation will consist of a brief explanation of the structure
of Silverlight Behaviours and its advantages, a technical explanation of attached behaviours, how to implement the Behaviour in a sample Silverlight Search application, and an explanation of the Text Highlight Behaviour code in C#.”
